23.04.2022. Turkey, the third day of mobility
Since 23 april is National sovereignty and Children’s day in Turkey, we had a wonderful opportunity to attend the celebration at our host school.
After that our kind hosts took us to the part of town famous for its Historical Elevator (Tower) built in 1907 by Nesim Levi, a Jewish businessman, to overcome the topographic barrier between the districts of Mithatpasa Street (at sea level) and Halil Rifat Pasa Street (at hill top). From here we headed to Kemeralti bazaar where we had some time for shopping and purchase of souvenirs and Turkish sweets.
We returned to the hotel around 5 pm, tired again but overwhelmed with impressions of the day.
